The project was to support inventive Cultural Heritage projects in Kenya to benefit from social and economic welfare. Additionally, it helped new connections between the UK and Kenya’s Cultural Heritage sector to build trust and understanding between the two regions.

We chose to celebrate culture to a momentous climax on Mashujaa Day 2019, aka Kenya’s Heroes Day. Here, we highlighted several cultural heroes who are outstanding in their field. These heroes included trailblazers such as Chef Ali Mandhry, Mwalimu Gregg Tendwa, Filmmaker Wanuri Kahiu, Sauti Sol Band, Poet Mufasa and Poet & Writer Muthoni Garland.
Curiosity, interest and information were the foundations of our content. All our posts offered tidbits around culture, insight into the exciting projects that our partners were undertaking, and engaging questions around traditions that hit close to home.
We created different types of media that were used across the campaign period on various social media platforms.
We setup and run digital ads across multiple social media and digital platforms, to attain our target for the campaign.
